50 shades of: foundation!
Very often we are faced with an unlimited amount of different shades of foundation and the question arises: which is the right tone for my face?
The answer is simple: the correct shade is the one that will disappear on the skin.
Make sure the foundation is yellow based. They all have yellow undertones in their skin.
Foundations with pink undertones are unnatural for most people. Only 1% need a pink shade – those that burn even in the shade.
NB. Fundamental rule: the foundation should not change the color of the face but simply even out the tone.
Another question: where should I try the foundation in order not to make a mistake in tone and undertone?
Try different shades of foundation on the side of the face, between the nose and the side of the cheek.
Never and I say never test foundation on your hand or arm, as the face is rarely the same color as the rest of the body.
Create a streak of foundation in your favorite formula from cheek to jaw, blending gently.
Also try a lighter shade and a darker shade for comparison, the correct shade will disappear in natural light.
